She did a lot of cooking and entertaining and wanted a kitchen / diner so she could chat with her friend while preparing meals.
She wanted something different and colourful but still in place with the cottage.
We had the internal wall between the existing kitchen and dining room taken out to create an open large space for the new kitchen.
A mixture of light timber and painted doors give the new space a light yet classical feel.
Worktops in a mix of granite and dark timber tied the kitchen to the dark dining table to give the whole room continuity in design.
Curved elements were used to keep the feel of the old cottage walls.
A traditional chimney breast and tiled splashback further enhanced the cottage feel.
